I want to thank you for showing an interest in 180 Degrees Ministries®.  God is already at work bringing about the necessary resources to meet the needs of His people and YOU are part of that life-changing team!!This ministry invests in people’s lives in three settings: we minister to the individual on a one on one basis, we minister in small groups, and we minister to the multitudes in large groups.  In the form of an update letter, let me share with you how these three aspects of ministry are being accomplished through 180 Degrees Ministries.

First, on the individual level:

May we all be reminded about the importance of investing in others lives by meeting someone where they are and taking them to where God wants them to be.  This is the very heart of 180 Degrees Ministries®.  No matter where an individual might be in their life, Jesus has the answer.  While Jesus has the answer, someone must take the time, become interested, and develop a relationship of trust with that person.  The natural overflow out of a trusting relationship from someone who cares is the individual will follow your leadership as you teach them how to follow Christ!!  What an incredible concept invented by an incredible God!  This is the way Jesus taught His disciples to follow Him. 

God has given me the privilege of getting involved in many lives on an individual level.  In the last few months, 180 Degrees Ministries® has counseled numerous individuals with diverse backgrounds and problems and has placed 37 people in long-term, faith-based programs for drug and alcohol related problems.

Second, on the small group level:

I love the intimacy of a small group. Small group dynamics fosters an environment for connecting at a heart level. My experience is that there is a great difference between touching people in the head and touching them in the heart.  Communicating on a heart level assures the group that out of genuine love and concern for them, you have something good to offer.  Then, they become teachable. 

I had an opportunity to share my life story with a group of 35 missionaries from North Carolina last week.  What an amazing sense of God’s power and presence was there as we shared, cried, and prayed together.

God has opened up the door for me to speak five different times to twenty-five separate classes in two different high schools in Middle Tennessee.  The response from these students has been overwhelming.  What an incredible joy to see God at work in a system that has tried to take Him completely out of the picture.

180 Degrees Ministries® also had the privilege of organizing and ministering in two events at Teen Challenge in Nashville.  We brought a band, a complete sound system, a drama team and a sign-art team made up of ALL VOLUNTEERS.   

Third, on a large group level:

The excitement and energy generated from a large gathering cannot be matched in my opinion.  The anticipation of a crowd being moved by God is enough to peel back layers of apathy and bring out new levels of commitment to God.
